CS50 has nurtured many bright programmers, teaching them skills in many coding fields. Its significance and reputation have spread to every corner of the world, creating branches in many countries and cities.
CS50 officially came to Tehran, Iran, in 2023. We were stoked to participate in the courses taught for free by Mr. Aref Tavassoli, which were completely based on CS50x, CS50p, and CS50ai materials, in the summer of 2023.
However, the things taught weren’t the highlight of our journey.
Connections and progress often come from hackathons, and CS50x Tehran planned one for all the participants.
The hackathon was a pivotal event for us to find talent for our goals. To find skilful programmers, designers, researchers, and more, to develop and progress AISA. Here we met Parsa, our now Head of Research, and made many new friends & connections.
But wait, there’s more!
The CS50x Tehran Fair was the pinnacle of the 3-month course. The goal was to showcase the work & projects of the students plus what they learned during their time at CS50. We participated and showcased AISA Solutions to more than 32 thousand participants! What a blast it was!
This Fair wasn’t just for fun though; it was also a competition between hundreds of teams and projects. The winners would win a cash prize, & connect or merge with famous pioneers or companies in the tech world from Iran.
AISA managed to ascend to the 5 top projects, and after careful consideration, the jury selected us as the #1 best project! You should’ve been there and seen the shocked faces of our team members
